Winona earns LEED Gold —
what it means and why it matters.

Our Cambie Street development joins a small group of Vancouver homes independently verified for sustainability, energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

LEED Gold Certificate — Winona 7638 Cambie St Vancouver

In February 2023, Winona — our residential development at 7638 Cambie Street, Vancouver — was awarded LEED Gold certification under the LEED v4 Homes rating system, scoring 68 points as verified by Green Business Certification Inc. on behalf of the U.S. Green Building Council.

What is LEED Gold?

LEED — Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design — is the most widely recognised green building rating system in the world. Gold is the second-highest tier, independently scored and verified.

What it means for homeowners

Lower operating costs, healthier indoor environment, and independently verified quality — the certification is issued by GBCI, a third party, not by us.

What comes next

Winona is our first LEED-certified project. Kush Bhatia and Kaiz Bhatia have committed to pursuing green building certification on future Bhatia developments as a standard practice.

"LEED certification identifies Winona as a showcase example of sustainability and demonstrates leadership in transforming the building industry."
